Equipment you'll need

All players need the following:
Available from the Club
Club shirt
Club socks
Available from all good sports shops
Blue shorts
Mouthguard
Boots with regulation studs (with the British Standard “Kite” mark)
Mouthguards are absolutely essential. For younger players, mouthguards costing £4-5 are sufficient.
Headgear, shoulder pads, shin pads and other equipment are optional. Please ensure when purchasing headgear and shoulder pads that an "IRB" label is sewn into the garment, showing that the item is approved by the International Rugby Board.
As the weather gets colder, don’t forget that your child will also need to wear a rainproof jacket, training bottoms and a training top or sweatshirt.
Rugby games and, in particular, tournaments involve a lot of standing around before and after matches and children can get cold very quickly.
For tournaments they should also bring drinks and snacks. |
